Observatory Tour

This experience is for those who want to take an in-depth look into the mysteries of our night sky.

For anyone with an interest in astronomy, the Observatory Tour is an incredible once-in-a-lifetime experience usually restricted to astronomers and scientists. Go truly intergalactic on this tour – visitors young and old will be enthralled to see the heavens light up with the energy of worlds that are light years away, ‘touring the universe’ under the best of conditions.

Visit one of our full-sized astronomical domes to view the stars, moon and planets. Tour capacity is limited to give you the best experience and provide customised commentary based on the groups specific interests.

Arkaroola not only has one of Australia’s state of the art astronomical observatories, but enjoys some of the best astronomical ‘seeing conditions’ in the whole of the Southern Hemisphere with a night sky is free of atmospheric and light pollution. And our tour has Advanced Ecotourism accreditation!
